Replant Stories

Three kids. Then sixty.

Every number on this page used to be a church somebody had written off. A congregation down to a handful. A parking lot with six cars in it. A building worth more than the ministry inside it.

None of these churches turned around because someone found a better program. They turned around because a pastor walked in, a partner church stood beside them, and a district refused to let the story end quietly.

Watch what happened.

Launch Day

Crosstown Walworth

Walworth, New York

On September 20, 2026, a congregation that had been on the verge of closing opened its doors as a new campus. Thirty launch team members were sent. One hundred forty seven people came. A children's ministry started from nothing that morning.

This was never simply about saving a church. This was about unleashing a mission for a community.

The Pastor

Dan Wilde

Discovery Alliance Church · Missoula, Montana

Dan moved his wife and three young children to Missoula at the start of 2024 to pastor a church that had just come apart. Every elder had left. The pastor and staff had left. Three quarters of the congregation had left. His own three kids were the only children in the building.

A woman in the congregation still tells the story of pulling into the lot one Sunday, not knowing whether anyone would show, and weeping when she counted six cars.

I was in over my head.

His district connected him to Fresh Start Network. Monthly coaching. A framework. A process to walk a church through toward a new beginning.

Today Discovery Alliance averages just over sixty on a Sunday, and a lot of them are kids.

The Partner Church

Micah Dalbey

Missoula Alliance Church · Missoula, Montana

You just watched Dan's side. This is the other one.

Micah pastors the church across town. When Discovery came apart, his congregation is the one that walked toward it.

Micah's staff went over repeatedly. They led worship on Sunday mornings. They brought resources. They spent a workday painting the children's ministry area. Micah and Dan still meet regularly for coaching conversations.

Then Micah did the thing most partner churches never quite get to. He invited Dan to share his vision with the Missoula Alliance congregation on a Sunday morning, and then invited anyone who wanted to go and join him. Several said yes. They are core team now.

This isn't just about two churches. Jesus said the fields are white for harvest.

That is a Partner Church. Not a line item. A congregation willing to release what God entrusted to them so another church could live.

What these three have in common

Nobody in these videos did this alone. Not one of them.

More stories to come!

These are the first three. There are replants underway right now whose stories are not finished enough to film yet. We will add them here as they are.

If your church is somewhere in the middle of one of these stories, we would like to know.
