Fresh Start Pastor
Based on how you answered, you're wired for this. Not for easy ministry. For the specific, difficult, deeply worthwhile work of walking into a church that is nearly gone and helping something new rise in its place.
That is rare. It's also needed more than almost anything else in the Alliance right now.
Reading this result
- You show the readiness markers we look for in a replant leader
- You're not flinching at the hard parts, which is most of the test
- You're the kind of leader a District Superintendent calls when a church is out of runway
- This is a beginning, not a credential
Before you say yes, know what you're saying yes to
- Walking into grief that isn't yours and carrying it anyway
- Leading people who did not choose you, and earning that slowly
- A first year where almost nothing visible happens
- Governance, buildings, and money problems you didn't create
- Soul before skill. A leader's own health matters as much as the plan.
Three questions worth sitting with
- Am I whole enough right now to walk into something hard?
- Who is walking with me, and would they tell me if I wasn't ready?
- Am I prepared to lead from overflow instead of exhaustion?
Being built for this is not the same as being ready for it. The difference is preparation, and that's what we're here for.
A dying church rarely needs a better plan first. It needs a leader ready to walk into something hard, whole.
We'd like to talk to you.
Someone from our team will reach out within two business days
Not a recruiting call. A conversation about where you are, what you're sensing, and whether this is the season for it.
The Fresh Start Pastor Certification
Five modules built by pastors who have done this. The Pastor, The Mission, The Leadership, The Church. Soul before skill, plus a capstone replant project. Opens October 2026.
What certification actually gets you
Training, coaching, and a network of pastors doing the same hard thing. You'll be known to the District Superintendents who call us when a church needs a replanter. We won't promise you a placement, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does.
Three kids in the whole church one year. Sixty at Vacation Bible School the next. Someone had to be willing to walk in first.
